About Traumatic Brain Injuries

Traumatic brain injuries (TBI) are a major health concern, particularly for veterans and active-duty service members.

TBIs range from mild (concussions) to severe, with long-term complications like memory loss, mood swings, cognitive impairments, and, in some cases, personality changes. Traditional treatments for traumatic brain injury often focus on managing symptoms such as headaches, dizziness, and cognitive challenges, but they don’t always address the underlying issue—damage to brain cells and tissues. That’s where innovative research like our HBOT study hopes to make an impact.

Phases / Process

Clinical trials go through four phases to validate treatments and vaccines as safe and effective before becoming accessible to the public. Click through a quick look at what each phase involves:

Phase 1: is the first step in testing a new treatment or vaccine in people. The focus is on understanding how the body reacts to it. These trials usually involve 20 to 80 participants, often healthy volunteers, but sometimes people with a specific condition.
